Who I Am

A seasoned professional who shares the adventurous spirit of the Rocky Mountain West and the belief that carefully strategized content is essential for effective communication.

Teaching English to a class of Korean engineering students, I was amused when one of them complained, “We are math and science people. We don’t do words.”

Well, I do words!

I’m here to help you love your words and to find joy in the process of putting them to paper.

Many writers are frustrated by finding the seemingly endless revisions needed to find the perfect word.  Not me!  Editing and revising excites me, and I’ll help you find the fun side of it, too!

I’m a teacher and a companion on your writing journey.  I will lead you gently and help you develop your craft at your own pace.  You needn’t feel self-conscious about your writing, even if English is your second, third, or fourth language.  I can help uncover the talented writer within you!

I have 20+ years experience “doing words” for corporations, nonprofits, and creatives.  I hold a master’s degree in communications and am pursuing certification as a publishing consultant.

I’m not here to make your words sound like mine.  My job is to help you find and use your unique voice to create your world of words.  I will be attentive to your needs and your voice as a writer, and I’ll help you enrich your own style to make the most of your natural gifting.
